This photo shows the works in progress on an eighteen foot
easel. The subject matter for the paintings are familiar to the
island life-style, luscious mangos, exotic passion fruit flower
from the Lilikoi vine and wholesome papayas.
The finished pieces are framed with Koa wood and displayed at
the Sam Choy Tokyo Restaurant in Japan. The Restaurant is on
Daiba, which is a man-made island that is only accessible by
mono-rail. The location is called Restaurant Row at Sunset
Beach, which has sunsets into the water that are out of this
world.
The Loveins traveled to Japan to celebrate at the opening party,
which was a gala event with over 2000 people.
